Bel Concerto per il trio (senza Manolo Badrena, rimasto a casa nel New Jersey)

Ogni pezzo aveva inizio con una piccolo intro della linea di basso suonata all'Hammond da Pete, per fissare la metrica del pezzo, poi Lenny White aggiungeva una ritmica soft con piccoli movimenti in scioltezza, senza strafare. poi a fine concerto Laura Passera mi dirà dei suoi problemi muscolari, per i quali è costretto a dover invertire i movimenti della mano destra con la sinistra la sua tecnica di rullate

A fine concerto una breve chiacchierata con un disponibilissimo e simpaticissimo Pete Levin ricordando il tour con la tony levin band e i brani suonati in quel periodo. In particolare Back in NYC cantata da Jerry Marotta, suo grande amico da sempre,

un musicista durante la torunée americana voleva entrare sul pezzo ma trovava difficoltà a causa delle tante variazioni ritmiche del brano che lo metteva in difficoltà (...ma come fa questo pezzo?)

the Jazz on live is a Jazz club with a good restaurant. I don't like very much to listen to the concerts sitting at the tables when people eat and drink talking louder than the music. But this time, the concert started at the 10.15 pm, when most part of us finished to eat. You can hear someone talking around me, but not too much. I was sitted at the first row of the tables, just 3 meters from the stage. The Pete Levin trio remembers the sound of Jimmy Smith, as the main particularity is the Hammond playd by Pete.
